You can use for mise en place to organize measured and prepared ingredients. I like these because they are stainless steel. That means durable, easy clean and sanitize unlike wood or plastic . These are marketed as "cutting boards" but I caution you - Do NOT cut on stainless steel because it will dull your knives (much worse and much quicker than wood or plastic).

These are thin and easy to store with hanging holes in the handles. I try to be so very neat in the kitchen, but little and sometimes big messes are inevitable. I like to put these on the kitchen counter and work on these because they rinse off so quick and easily. It is faster and easier and cleaner than having to keep wiping down the counter as I am working.
